Eligibility
- Be employed by a public agency (city, county, state or federal) as an active Engineer, or practicing Engineer, or received their EIT or P.E. at the time the application is submitted
- Have a MAXIMUM of seven (7) total years of engineering work experience
- Specialize or have a strong interest in work zone safety and temporary traffic control
Description
The Marty Weed Engineering Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance for new engineers who are employed by a public agency and who specialize in work zone safety and temporary traffic control to participate in ATSSA’s Annual Convention & Traffic Expo. Up to two scholarships are offered annually. Scholarship recipients receive complimentary Convention & Traffic Expo registration, reimbursement for four nights lodging at an ATSSA assigned hotel, plus up to $900 for travel expenses including mileage or coach airfare, transportation to/from the airport and eligible meals.
