Eligibility

  • Students enrolled in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/General Engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline at a Community College, a 2-Year Technical College or Associate Degree program
  • Students can apply in the first semester in their second year for the following academic year
  • Students transferring from a 2-year institution to a 4-year University/College must be planning to enroll in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering Technology program or a closely related discipline
  • Students can be enrolled part-time
  • Enrolled in a regionally accredited institution by CHEA or ABET
  • For international students, the ASME Student Section must be active in the local region
  • International students must be enrolled full-time
  • Enrollment in an ABET or Regionally/Nationally accredited program

Description

ASME Foundation scholarships are grants made to students to assist them in pursuing an educational program in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology at the undergraduate or graduate level. These scholarships are awarded annually to eligible ASME Student Members and are used for upcoming studies and educational expenses in the next academic year.
