Eligibility
- High school seniors or currently enrolled undergraduate students preparing for a career in engineering or metallurgy
- Must be the child (including step-child, adopted child or ward), grandchild or spouse of an active AIST Pittsburgh Chapter member in good standing
- A member in good standing must have been active in the chapter for at least two consecutive years
- Members of the Material Advantage program at local Pittsburgh Chapter area colleges are eligible
- Must be accepted into or currently enrolled in an eligible, full-time curriculum at an accredited university or college
- Student must start the course of study at the university or college in the fall of the same year the scholarship is awarded
Description
The AIST Pittsburgh Chapter Scholarships reward and encourage Pittsburgh-area high school seniors or currently enrolled undergraduate students preparing for careers in engineering or metallurgy. The program awards three scholarships to be used during full-time attendance at any accredited North American college or university. Awards are administered by the AIST Pittsburgh Chapter and are made without regard to financial need. Funds are forwarded as a lump sum to the recipient's college or university.
