Eligibility

  • Be a full-time enrolled student as an undergraduate junior or senior at a TMCF member school during the 2026-2027 academic year
  • Majoring in one of the following STEM related majors: Business, Data science, Actuarial science, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Cyber security, Software engineering, Computer/systems engineering, Computer science, Marketing, Programming
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Be able to demonstrate a financial need
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

Description

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and Verisk offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools, which include 57 publicly-supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), historically Black community colleges (HBCCs), predominantly Black institutions (PBIs), medical and law schools. Four scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship of $10,625 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The scholarship amount will be allocated in two installments: one during the fall 2026 semester and the second during the spring 2027 semester, applicable to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.
